Capbreton Day 2

First, we took a leisurely stroll along the waterfront in Capbreton, taking in the views of the glistening water and feeling the gentle breeze. The atmosphere was serene and calming, making it the perfect start to our day. Afterward, we found ourselves wandering through the stores in Hoseggur. The shops showcased a wide array of items, colorful displays, and merchandise similar to what we would find in California. Our day took an even more interesting turn when we met up with Darling, who graciously offered to give us a tour of the area. We had the pleasure of having Darling as our guide, who generously drove us around the area. Along the way, she made a stop at a realtor's office, explaining that it belonged to a friend of hers. It felt a bit awkward, as we weren't actually in the market for a house, but we decided to play along. Darling took us on a scenic drive alongside the magnificent houses lining the Hossegur golf course. It felt a lot like Pebble Beach.

Our next stop was the local school, although we could only admire it from behind the fence. We were unable to enter the premises. It was interesting to observe the school's architecture and imagine the boys attending the school. Feeling the need for a break, we decided to pause for a coffee. Darling surprised us by bringing along some delicious madeleine cakes. It was a thoughtful gesture that added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality to our day. As midday approached, we decided to indulge in a seafood lunch at a nearby restaurant along the river. We couldn't resist trying the snails, whose texture was unusual. Overall, it was a day filled with memorable moments and new discoveries.
