February Break

Gabe and I had an adventure this week as we embarked on our first trip abroad without the kids. Our destination? France! Sud Oueste! Cotes des Basque! However, just as we were about to kick off our journey, a minor hiccup threatened to derail our plans. While cruising along Highway 101, only a mere 10 minutes away from the airport, my car decided to act up. I was so stressed I broke out into hives.

Thankfully, luck was on our side as Gabe quickly spotted an Audi dealership conveniently located just two minutes away from the airport. With a sense of urgency, we managed to maneuver my ailing vehicle into a parking spot. Without wasting a moment, we swiftly gathered our luggage and dashed into the dealership's office. In a flurry of hurried movements, we dropped off the car keys and scribbled down my phone number, ensuring we could be easily contacted. With the clock ticking, we wasted no time and hastily hailed an Uber to San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Reflecting on the situation, it's remarkable how fortune smiled upon us, turning what could have been a disastrous turn of events into a stroke of crazy good luck. The timely discovery of the Audi dealership near the airport saved us from potential travel woes and allowed our long-awaited trip to proceed as planned. Cocktails at the bar  - yes, please!
